Real Wedding: Julius + Mark
Julius + Mark came to me with a rockin’ monogram (seriously, look at that thing!) and wanted an invitation suite to match that same badass-black-tie vibe, with high end details and unique textures.
Unique Envelopes that Don’t Break the Bank
This geometric envelope may just be one of my favorite to date! It felt super custom but it was folded from a single large sheet of paper, so it didn’t require any crazy expensive die-cutting. Plus, it was embellished with a gold wax seal of their monogram to make it feel extra fancy.
Simple, Interesting Materials
I just can’t get enough of cool modern paper clips, and vellum! Simple materials that add texture and elegance to any invitation suite, without breaking the bank. J+M were super into the idea of the monogramed vellum overlay as a way to create a ‘reveal’ for their guests.
In this digital age, your reply card doesn’t have to be mailable! J+M opted for a card that pointed guests to reply online, and we cut it at a slight angle to make it feel as custom as their outer envelopes.
I kept the fonts from J+M’s invitation suite consistent with their day-of materials so guests would feel the cohesion throughout the entire event. They wanted an entrance that made a statement, so I lasercut this ‘Adventure’ sign that was hung on hedges when guests first entered the venue for a pop of metallic gold.
Favors that Everyone Wants to Keep
J+M wanted their guests to remember this night forever and always, so I made these wood cubes that were branded with their monogram and the date, and that we used as stands for the menus. They double as stands for guest’s keepsake photos afterwards!
A Super Secret Speakeasy
My favorite thing about J+M’s celebration? Their super secret Speakeasy bar! They set up a lock wall with these Speakeasy tickets, and guests had to receive a special key to unlock the ticket and get into the secret bar. What a fun way to get their guests to interact with the venue space, and feel extra special in the process!
Since this wedding happened fairly recently I don't have the official photos back yet - I'll definitely update this post once I have more details from the day, so make sure to check back.
