Real Wedding: Toni + Henry
T+H had many guests coming in from out of town, so they wanted to welcome them to San Francisco. Their intention for their celebration was to highlight the natural beauty of Northern California, and to bring together T’s Bulgarian heritage with H’s St. Louis roots.
I designed them a custom map of San Francisco, that folded around a letterpressed invitation featuring botanical textures and modern typography. Delicate botanical details were sprinkled throughout their stationery suite to incorporate the outdoors in a modern and elegant way.
The welcome sign is often the first thing your guests see when they arrive at your venue (and it takes the place of you being able to personally be there to greet them). I don’t often push couples to include specific things in their celebration, because every wedding really is unique, but I do love to encourage my couples to think about including a welcome sign.
T+H opted for a modern geometric design with bold contrast and some delicate floral details, which introduced guests to the city-meets-nature experience they wanted their celebration to exude.
To celebrate T’s Bulgarian heritage, a Balkan band performed for their guests at the cocktail reception!
Guests were guided to their seats by an escort board embellished with delicate string.
Each table featured botanical details, and the menus were color-coded to reference each guests meal choice.
